It's also backward compatible with the USB 2.0 interface, allowing the device to be used with any system that has USB 2.0 interface. The MB981U3-1S covers the latest systems from hosts with USB 3.0 interface and UASP support, to older generation computers still using USB 2.0 interface. The MB981U3-1S uses tool-less plug & play design for both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard disk and solid state drives - simply plug in the HDD/SSD and hit the power button to get started.
